AIT Worldwide Logistics announces strategic relocation of Columbus facility to enhance services, support key market growth

Move to larger office enables logistics solutions leader to more efficiently manage growing AIT Middle Mile Network

ITASCA, IL (July 8, 2024) – AIT Worldwide Logistics, a leading provider of global supply chain solutions, recently relocated its Columbus, Ohio, operations to a new, state-of-the-art facility. The move supports AIT’s strategic expansion in a key market and major hub for its thriving Middle Mile Network, the improved alternative to traditional expedited LTL service which connects major U.S. metro areas via gateway cities.

The new facility features 82,679 square feet of office and warehouse space – an increase of more than 20% compared to the previous location. It is also strategically positioned near the John Glenn Columbus International Airport, enhancing accessibility for AIT's customers and partners. The relocation further empowers AIT's operations with improved infrastructure, including nearly doubling its previous number of dock doors to 24 and gaining advanced security measures.

The new location also focuses on increased sustainability, featuring automatic lighting systems and a plan to introduce electric-vehicle chargers, aligning with AIT’s goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions for scopes 1 and 2 by 2035.

As it continues to scale operations, the Columbus site is poised to handle more than a million pounds of freight each week, with a focus on the automotive, e-commerce, retail, government, technology, industrial, and livestock feed markets, as well as specialized services including white glove delivery, hand carry, global charters and 3PL support.
