AIT Worldwide Logistics Continues Partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

The supply chain solutions provider is returning as a Silver National Team for the upcoming fundraising events in September
ITASCA, ILLINOIS (July 23, 2018) – AIT Worldwide Logistics has reaffirmed its support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® by re-enlisting as a Silver National Team for the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.This is the second year in a row that AIT is making St. Jude the company’s flagship charitable alliance. Last year, hundreds of team members were joined by friends and family members in fundraising efforts which were matched dollar-for-dollar by the company for a final collective donation in excess of $63,000. For 2018, AIT’s overall goal is once again $50,000 after a company match.
Fundraising efforts and additional support for St. Jude are already underway across AIT’s network including an event being held this week at AIT’s suburban Chicago offices. Teammates will be volunteering on-site to pack 800 bags with fun items including crayons, markers, paper and stickers. These bags will be shipped to St. Jude in Memphis where they will be stocked in waiting rooms and distributed to children to help pass the time before visiting a doctor.
Held annually in September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month), communities in more than 60 cities come together for the Walk/Run events which provide a fun and easy way to raise life-saving funds with thousands of other St. Jude supporters. AIT locations across North America will back at least 20 of the scheduled events with new teams participating for the first time in Cincinnati, Seattle, South Bend and Tampa.
