AIT Worldwide Logistics Promotes Jon Hazlett to VP, Operations of AIT Truckload Solutions

New promotion coincides with consolidation of North American ground distribution teams under Executive Vice President, Road, Mike Rothacher
ITASCA, IL (Sept. 9, 2024) – As AIT Worldwide Logistics’ North American ground distribution services continue to evolve, the company is mobilizing resources to further improve and integrate its road solutions. Accordingly, the company is reorganizing the leadership of its in-house truckload brokerage team, AIT Truckload Solutions, and the Middle Mile Network, an expedited less-than-truckload alternative.Jon Hazlett has been promoted to AIT Truckload Solutions’ vice president, operations – he was previously serving as the director of operations for the group. In his new role, Jon is responsible for procurement and carrier management, customer service, process improvement and achieving key performance indicator goals. He works alongside AIT Truckload Solutions’ Vice President, Sales, Joe Kontuly, whose focus is sales recruitment, expanding the customer base and quality control.
AIT Truckload Solutions (formerly known as Summit Expedited Logistics) was established in 2012 as the in-house truckload brokerage team for AIT, with Hazlett as one of the first members of the operations team. Over the past decade, he has increasingly taken on additional responsibility via a variety of managerial roles to become a cornerstone leader of the group.
Hazlett and Kontuly both report to Executive Vice President, Road, Mike Rothacher. In addition to overseeing AIT Truckload Solutions, Rothacher has also assumed responsibility for AIT’s Middle Mile Network, the unique expedited less-than-truckload (LTL) alternative known for its fast, best-in-class service and exceptionally low claims ratio.
