Vaughn Moore
Vaughn Moore’s personal philosophy has long shaped his executive leadership style. His belief in the value of humility—hiring smart people, embracing change and giving back with time, talent or treasure—has laid the groundwork for his career as a communicator, innovator and leader. It’s also helped set the bar for AIT’s professionalism and continued success as a company.@Throughout his more than two decades at AIT, he’s guided exponential growth with strong thought leadership and strategic foresight, first as vice president of sales and marketing (2002–2010), then as president and CEO (2010–2022) and now as chairman and CEO. @Vaughn led the company’s leveraged buyout in 2012 and continues to spearhead its continuously expansive journey, pushing AIT to take on challenges with an eye toward flexibility and customization that define its world-class supply chain solutions.@@ @With an unwavering commitment to growth and excellence, Vaughn has guided the organization into more sustainable operations, including specialized expertise for industries as diverse as high-tech, specialized home delivery and life sciences. His forward thinking and ambassadorship have established AIT as a freight forwarder that consistently evolves to meet the needs of customers around the world. @@In addition to serving on the boards for KB Partners, Rothschild Wealth Partners and TIDL, Vaughn is President of Medinah Country Club. He has also earned numerous professional accolades, including Ernst @ Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2023), the Airforwarders Association’s Jim Foster Memorial Award (2024) for individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry, and a coveted spot on Crain's Who's Who in Chicago Business list (2024-2026).@"We push ourselves when we hire people better than ourselves. If we can fill up our company with that type of philosophy, then I think we can accomplish even more amazing things."Vaughn is a champion of social action and devotes time to the American Cancer Society (ACS), the Center for Enriched Living and the Western Golf Association Evans Scholars Foundation. ACS recognized him as the leadership honoree at the 2022 Discovery Ball and again in 2025 with its esteemed St. George National Award, the organization's highest honor for volunteers. He also serves as vice chair of the Rams Club at his beloved alma mater, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which honored him in 2025 with the Distinguished Alumnus Award for his outstanding contributions to the university and society.@He received his MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and makes his home in the Chicago area. When he’s not at AIT’s global headquarters or traveling around the world for work, Vaughn can be found spending quality time with his family or holding his own on Medinah’s famous Course #3.

Patrick Merola
After Patrick began his AIT accounting and finance career as director, he was named vice president in 2019, then promoted to executive vice president in 2024. He oversees the corporate finance department, which includes three primary teams: accounting, financial planning and analysis, and operational finance. @ Under his guidance, the finance group has evolved to support AIT@s transformation into a truly global organization, redesigning and developing the teams to accommodate the dynamic business environment. Patrick led efforts to create the company@s first merger and acquisition integration playbook to organize post-acquisition activities with an emphasis on change management. He has overseen the implementation of new operating systems, as well as the rationalization of existing ones. And despite AIT@s rapid expansion, his teams have reduced the complexity of the company@s financial systems, processes and reporting @ offering business leaders a more focused and consistent method of monitoring performance.@ @You@re only as good as the people around you, and effort overcomes mistakes.@ In anticipation of AIT@s continued growth, Patrick is leading his team to leverage new state-of-the-art solutions that enable processing and reporting at scale. Examples include optimizing the company@s enterprise financial reporting platform, enhancing global operational reporting, and utilizing automation and artificial intelligence in operational finance. He also continues to play a key role in merger and acquisition strategy, from diligence through integration.@ Patrick holds a bachelor@s degree in finance from Eastern Illinois University, he earned his MBA from Northern Illinois University, and he@s a licensed certified public accountant in Illinois. He gives back to the community as a hands-on volunteer for charitable organizations like St. Jude Children@s Research Hospital and Wings. Born and raised in Chicago, he now lives with his wife and children in the city@s northwest suburbs. They enjoy going on hikes, attending (and coaching!) the kids@ soccer games, and spending time with friends, family, and neighbors.

Mike Tegtmeyer
Mike is taking AIT to the next level in the worldwide management of its technology infrastructure and hardware platforms. He joined the company in 2019 as vice president, global infrastructure and security, bringing nearly three decades of operations, systems architecture and data security experience to the role. Over the next five years, he effectively streamlined the organization@s global network and telecommunications and also strengthened its disaster recovery program. @ In 2024, he was promoted to executive vice president, global infrastructure and security. In this role, he has been augmenting security across AIT@s networks worldwide while enhancing its global infrastructure strategy. Mike has been instrumental in streamlining and integrating cloud-based systems, further enabling growth via acquisitions and enhancing the scalability that customers rely on from a global-security perspective. In addition to securing firmwide data, he is responsible for server maintenance, telecommunications, networking and end-user support.@ Mike is committed to growing the company@s infrastructure strategy by leading the deployment of a modern, high-quality cloud-based system, which empowers teammates around the world to deliver exceptional logistics solutions.@ @ @Strict data security and a high-performing global network are key components to delivering a world-class experience for AIT@s customers.@ In 2024, Mike received a ChicagoCISO ORBIE nomination in recognition of his excellence in technology leadership. @ He actively supports the American Cancer Society and the Red Cross, and he serves as president of the Fox Lake Preservation Organization, dedicated to improving the quality and fishery of his favorite body of water. @ Mike earned his bachelor@s in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois. He@s a proud father and grandfather, an avid fisherman, and a bowler who@s been rolling with the same team for more than 30 years.@ He was born and raised in Illinois and lives in the Chicago area with his family.

Mike Rothacher
In his role as executive vice president, road, Mike leads the AIT Truckload Solutions and Middle Mile Network groups. He brings both teams together collaboratively to improve service and efficiency for customers. With a passion for customer service and a strategic approach to daily improvement, Mike streamlines AIT@s road operations teams to deliver the absolute best with every shipment. He joined AIT in 2012 as senior director of sales, central region. Mike was promoted to vice president, strategic accounts in 2014, then executive vice president in 2021. His proudest achievements over a decade-plus career at AIT include the launches of the life sciences and healthcare verticals. Under his guidance, AIT Truckload Solutions@ revenue doubled in his first two years overseeing the group. @ @I strive to succeed daily and help others to passionately pursue perfection for our clients.@ Mike has a faith-based approach to work and life that fuels his commitment to AIT@s business and clients. He earned his bachelor@s in business administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and still lives in the area. He and his wife have three grown children and support multiple local charities, a private school in Kansas City, and five global missionaries. They also finance the education of six young students in Africa, South America and Mexico. @

Chris Amberg
As executive vice president of the Life Sciences Division, Chris Amberg spearheads the commercial and operational activities of AIT@s specialized pharmaceutical and healthcare services, including the company@s Critical Solutions Group. His team of dedicated life sciences professionals manage the careful, expert shipping of everything from clinical trials to medical treatments, including pharmaceutical ingredients, raw materials, bulk medication and manufacturing supplies. Together, they approach every shipment with a personalized touch and decades of logistics experience. @ @My business philosophy I adopted here at AIT: @Together, we@re better.@ And it@s hard work that I care deeply for.@ Chris@s business philosophy is based on customer satisfaction with the daily goal of meeting and exceeding expectations. His Life Sciences Division teammates work tirelessly to perfect every single detail of every transaction, with shipments delivered to the right place, at the right time, in the right condition. Born and raised in Switzerland, Chris graduated from the Zürich Business School and began working in international banking and finance. More than 35 years ago, he shifted his career to the logistics industry where he has been thriving ever since. He lives with his wife and two daughters in the greater San Francisco Bay area where they enjoy good food, Napa Valley vineyards, hiking and biking. They also support homeless organizations through their church.

Ryan Carter
Ryan Carter is a veteran logistics leader who works collaboratively with operations teams to spearhead effective growth. He also provides vision and management to cross-functioning teams, ensuring that operational controls, procedures, and systems are in place to boost financial strength and operating efficiency. @ In 2015, when Ryan joined AIT as director of operations, east region, he was responsible for implementing growth strategies, improving revenue yield and driving cost optimization @ all while delivering a world-class experience for customers. He was promoted to vice president, Americas operations, in 2019, to oversee operations across all company locations in Canada, Mexico and the United States.@ Day to day, Ryan oversees the development and execution of operational strategies and processes designed to optimize effective growth. He establishes goals for improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and client relations. His teams also ensure continuous improvement by analyzing service expectations versus actual cycle times, identifying the root cause of problems, and applying smart solutions.@ Ryan@s customer-first approach and commitment to building his teams@ capabilities led to his 2023 appointment as senior vice president, Americas; his most recent promotion to executive vice president came in 2024. @ @ @Adhering to a continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service profit and growth, while utilizing KPIs to drive and quantify cost optimization, allows AIT to maintain and surpass customer expectations.@ He attended the University of Tennessee and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and holds degrees in business administration and supply chain management. @ Ryan lives in Boca Raton, Florida, with his wife and two kids, and he enjoys outdoor sports, including boating, fishing, snow skiing, and horseback riding. He and his wife sponsor two children through Compassion International, a humanitarian organization that helps youths living in poverty. @

Ann Nemphos
Ann Nemphos joined AIT@s executive team in 2024 as chief technology officer and later transitioned to become chief information officer in 2025. In her role, she oversees every aspect of the company@s worldwide technology as the driving force for innovation, modernizing business systems and leading special projects.@ Ann brings decades of experience to her role as CIO. She served as a technology executive for numerous multinational companies, developing and implementing innovations across industries, including automated retail transactions, real-time healthcare payments and mobile insurance solutions. @ She transitioned to the supply chain services industry in 2017, accepting an executive position with a transport and logistics company in Switzerland, where she led their global information technology group and implemented a next-gen transportation management system. Most recently, Ann served as chief technology officer for a large forwarder, drayage and intermodal services.@ At AIT, she@s committed to innovating and advancing technology solutions, including deeper integration of artificial intelligence and machine-learning applications. Ann@s results-based, customer-focused approach is driving AIT@s ongoing efforts to anticipate and prepare for the future needs of clients and teammates across global supply chains. @ @ @I@m committed to engaging in a collaborative process that will further earn our customers@ trust and boost teammate efficiency via innovative enhancements to AIT@s technology.@ Ann holds a bachelor@s degree in computer science from Quinnipiac University and earned her MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.@ She spends her free time volunteering in her community to support families in need. She@s also a mentor for her local high school@s robotics team. @ Ann and her family are based in Connecticut where she enjoys biking, water sports, cheering on women@s basketball and soccer, and taking long weekend drives with her husband and their Maltese Yorkie. @
