AIT expands growth across Asia with appointment of director of business development for Greater China

As AIT continues to expand across Asia, the supply chain solutions leader recently announced long-time industry veteran Jim Gong has joined the company as director of business development for the Greater China region. Gong reports to AIT’s Vice President, Asia Pacific, Wilson Lee.

“I’m pleased to welcome Jim to the team and am confident his decades of deep experience with global accounts, third-party logistics and general supply chain management will bring our organization to the next level,” Lee said.

In this role, Gong will lead implementation of the company’s sales strategy for Greater China, expanding coverage across the region, with a focus on collaboration with AIT’s North America and Europe teams, as well as the organization’s e-Commerce logistics offerings.

“Jim’s addition to our team is another strong step towards the company’s vision of being the global logistics provider respected for delivering a world-class experience,” said AIT’s Chief Business Officer, Greg Weigel.

Gong brings more than 20 years of global supply chain logistics expertise to this new role, having previously held sales management positions at FedEx, CEVA Logistics, Alibaba Group, and Avis Budget Group. Follow Gong on LinkedIn.
