AIT Worldwide Logistics offices across Europe expand into larger facilities

AIT-Europe relocations include updated, modern spaces in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland

ITASCA, IL (April 16, 2024) – Global supply chain solutions leader, AIT Worldwide Logistics, is significantly expanding its European operations with moves into larger, more modern facilities in Amsterdam and Muttenz, Switzerland as well as a new office opening in Düsseldorf, Germany.

According to AIT’s Senior Vice President of Europe, Gary Roche, these recent moves to state-of-the-art facilities were prompted by both increased business and emerging opportunities in the automotive, industrial, high-tech and life sciences sectors. By anticipating the escalating regional demand for logistics services and responding with upgraded infrastructure, AIT signals its commitment to operational excellence and delivering value to its customers, not only in Europe, but across the world.

Scheduled to open May 1, AIT’s new BREEAM certified facility in Amsterdam includes a 5,000-square-meter warehouse and features an on-site electric vehicle charger for box trucks (with another expected to be installed in June). Relocating the office closer to key logistics hubs, including Schiphol Airport, streamlines efficiency and customer service across several lines of business, including AIT-Amsterdam’s specialized operations for the high-tech and life sciences industries. 

The new AIT-Düsseldorf location in Germany is strategically positioned in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, a global economic hot spot. Situated just five minutes from Düsseldorf Airport terminals, the expansive office space hosts a large team providing air, ocean and other services in support of industries that are flourishing in the area, such as the high-tech, automotive, and industrial sectors.

With a focus on encouraging intra-office collaboration, the former AIT-Münchenstein station has moved to a new space in Muttenz, where the team continues to design solutions customized to shippers’ unique requirements rather than pressuring clients into pre-assigned processes. Just steps from nearby rail, tram and bus lines, and featuring a spacious 20-person conference room, the modern, brand-new facility is ready to welcome customers from the many vertical markets served by AIT in the region, including food logistics, automotive and consumer retail.
