GRI shipping
A general rate increase (GRI) is an adjustment of sea freight rates across all or specific trade routes during a set time frame. GRIs are usually spurred by the supply and demand chain within freight shipping and generally initiated by bigger carriers.
AIT Worldwide Logistics’ buying power and preferred relationships with ocean lines allow us to combat these increases by delivering competitive rates and providing a financial cushion to our customers.
When new GRIs are announced, AIT is committed to providing:
- Proactive Communication: AIT will maintain open, consultative communication as GRI shipping negotiations unfold, providing you the information you need to make prudent business decisions.
- Continued Competitive Rates: In the event of GRI shipping changes, we will work to ensure the pricing for your business remains competitive.
