Personal philosophy
Embrace the challenges in life and have a positive impact on every situation.
After Patrick began his AIT accounting and finance career as director, he was named vice president in 2019, then promoted to executive vice president in 2024. He oversees the corporate finance department, which includes three primary teams: accounting, financial planning and analysis, and operational finance.
Under his guidance, the finance group has evolved to support AIT’s transformation into a truly global organization, redesigning and developing the teams to accommodate the dynamic business environment. Patrick led efforts to create the company’s first merger and acquisition integration playbook to organize post-acquisition activities with an emphasis on change management. He has overseen the implementation of new operating systems, as well as the rationalization of existing ones. And despite AIT’s rapid expansion, his teams have reduced the complexity of the company’s financial systems, processes and reporting – offering business leaders a more focused and consistent method of monitoring performance.
In anticipation of AIT’s continued growth, Patrick is leading his team to leverage new state-of-the-art solutions that enable processing and reporting at scale. Examples include optimizing the company’s enterprise financial reporting platform, enhancing global operational reporting, and utilizing automation and artificial intelligence in operational finance. He also continues to play a key role in merger and acquisition strategy, from diligence through integration.
Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Eastern Illinois University, he earned his MBA from Northern Illinois University, and he’s a licensed certified public accountant in Illinois. He gives back to the community as a hands-on volunteer for charitable organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Wings. Born and raised in Chicago, he now lives with his wife and children in the city’s northwest suburbs. They enjoy going on hikes, attending (and coaching!) the kids’ soccer games, and spending time with friends, family, and neighbors.
