AIT Gives Back to Children's Hospital of Orange County

On Thursday, July 21, AIT offices joined forces to attend the second annual charity golf tournament hosted by JStar Motors, benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).

This event is near and dear to the heart of Justin Murrietta, account executive for AIT’s Los Angeles station. His 9-month old son Logan was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a form of children’s eye cancer.

As with most parents in need of medical attention for their children, the Murrietta family depends on the services, special support and procedures provided by CHOC.

“The amount of support that our son Logan received at Thursday's golf event was truly unexpected and it will be a day that my wife April and I will never forget,” said Murrietta. “As I sit here and try to describe the emotions that I felt that day, I am still at a loss for words. To see and hear my fellow coworker’s support of our son and his battle for cancer that day was nothing short of amazing.”

Logan, his sisters and their friends added their creative one-of-a-kind coloring designs to each hole’s pin flag. At the post golf outing event, attendees placed bids on all 16 flag designs, raising money specifically for the Murrietta family. As a result, $18,000 was raised to support Logan’s medical bills.

“I was not only happy to participate as a golfer, but I was extremely proud of how the AIT family pulled together to support one of our own,” said AIT President Vaughn Moore.
