AIT-Cleveland Celebrates 10 Years in the Network

In honor of AIT-Cleveland's ten year anniversary as a location in the AIT network, President and CEO Vaughn Moore and Executive Vice President Ray Fennelly visited Branch Manager Kim Giering and her team to mark the occasion. In addition to enjoying a catered barbecue luncheon, Moore presented Giering with a plaque to commemorate the accomplishment.

Over the past decade, Giering has grown the office significantly. When it first opened, the facility was operating weekdays from 8am to 5pm with just three employees. Now, 38 co-workers are employed by AIT-Cleveland which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Giering is very quick to attribute the success of her office to her team and her strong customer base. "I would not be here today if it weren't for my outstanding staff, support from AIT and strong relationships developed with our customers," she said. "My staff works vigorously and around the clock to ensure each and every customer's needs are met. Working closely with AIT these past 10 years has been a tremendous help to us and I cannot say ‘thank you’ enough."

Expedited Next Flight Out (NFO) shipments are one area in which AIT-Cleveland has excelled. Over the years, the team has developed highly detailed customer SOPs and internal processes that make their NFO operations hyper-efficient.

"I believe that the mindset we've developed by doing so much labor-intensive work is also reflected in every other facet of our business," Giering commented. "When you cultivate a plan of action that emphasizes attention to the most minor factors, you can't help but keep that thought process going in everything else you do."

Looking towards the future, Giering mentioned international services as an area of the business that has grown well over the past year and is expected to continue expanding.

Fennelly said, "Congratulations to the AIT-Cleveland team on their success during the past 10 years. I look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries in the future."

Reflecting on 10 years in business, Giering offered the following words of inspiration, "Believe in yourself, your staff and AIT! Be willing to accept the challenges you face in every growth cycle because they're going to help you improve. There's no such thing as an insurmountable problem – it’s just an opportunity to grow, to learn and to improve. And don't be afraid to ask for help from either the corporate office or from other network locations. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience from which to pull and we should make the most of it!"

AIT has a robust global logistics network, with more than 60 offices worldwide.
