Ocean Service Advisory: Port of Savannah Delays

Please be advised that our ocean carriers are beginning to inform us that east coast ports, especially Savannah, are experiencing congestion due to the extremely heavy import ocean volumes hitting the United States east coast from Asia. The resulting delay over this port in some cases is adding an average of 7 days to shipments.

Rail and terminal operators such as the Georgia Port Authority in Savannah are making their best efforts to move cargo as quickly as possible. Please be advised that other east coast direct port calls from Asia such as Charleston, Wilmington, Baltimore and Norfolk may also be impacted due to the large volumes arriving on the east coast.

Should AIT receive further information on additional locations being impacted by the Peak Season out of Asia in the United States, we will communicate it to our customers accordingly.
