Lufthansa Presents AIT with Customer Award

AIT Worldwide Logistics was recently honored with Lufthansa Cargo's Customer Quality Award for 2012. The global air freight carrier's Achim Martinka, Vice President – The Americas and Jens Engelbrechtsen, District Manager – Chicago Sales, presented the award to AIT's representative at a business forum held in Atlanta, Georgia last month.

Freight forwarders in Lufthansa's U.S. Business Partnerships category are eligible to be considered for the industry accolade by consistently surpassing high thresholds in three core measurements of air freight quality. AIT won the award based on superior ratings in the following metrics:

  • RCS (Ready for Carriage) greater than 90 percent.
  • No Show Ratio lower than 10 percent.
  • Booking Quality (matching booked freight with actual delivered freight) greater than 90 percent.
