Independent Contractor Looks Back on Ten Years at AIT Louisville
In April, AIT-Louisville Independent Contractor Jay Hook and Operations Manager Brandi Laferty commemorated the facility's 10th anniversary with the corporate office’s IC Support Manager. Following the presentation of a plaque marking the decade-long relationship, the trio headed out for a celebratory dinner.
Though he counts choosing AIT as his best decision, Hook emphatically asserts that hiring Laferty was just as critical to his location's success. Referring to her as the "heart and soul" of AIT-Louisville, he adds, "She is the best at what she does and I would put her up against any operations (or sales!) person out there. She is positive, energetic, dedicated, intelligent and a relentless perfectionist; she makes the office a great place to be."
Reflecting on the past decade, Hook counts buying out his former partner five years ago and starting up cartage at AIT-Louisville among the noteworthy events. He also mentions that in just a few months, they will move into a new facility with a "big, beautiful dock" that will accommodate the extensive growth he anticipates in the future.
"I am really proud to be a part of AIT," Hook summarized. "And I plan on being part of this close-knit family for many, many years to come."
