Chicago Tribune names AIT one of Top 100 Workplaces
Leading global transportation provider AIT Worldwide Logistics has been named to the Chicago Tribune’s second annual list of the top 100 workplaces in the Chicago area. Company rankings are compiled in a special section published on Nov. 15 and available online.
The evaluation for the Top Workplaces program is based upon feedback from an online employee-based survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, a workplace survey consultancy. AIT’s global network of company-owned stations were invited to complete the assessment on June 29, 2011.
“This program offered us the unique opportunity to identify and measure various elements of job satisfaction and employee engagement across our entire organization by going straight to the most valuable resource – our employees,” said Vaughn Moore, president of AIT Worldwide Logistics.
To earn placement on the list, respondents provided their assessment of AIT in six different competitive categories and 24 distinct statements ranging from company direction and diversity to corporate culture and benefits.
“There’s no better measure of our success than to be validated and recognized by the people who matter most,” said Dan Lisowski, chairman and co-founder of AIT.
Rankings were organized into three categories: small (fewer than 250 employees), medium (250-999) and large (1,000 and above). AIT was ranked No. 30 on the list of midsize employers in the region.
“For more than thirty-two years, AIT has been committed to fostering an entrepreneurial workplace that encourages passion, loyalty, innovation and enthusiasm,” said Steve Leturno, chairman and co-founder of AIT. “As we continue to build upon our company vision and goals, this outstanding achievement serves as a powerful indicator of AIT’s enduring success in the global trade community.”
