AIT Introduces Collaborative International Services
May 2009 - In further support of its ever-increasing expansion into the global transportation marketplace, AIT Worldwide Logistics is excited to introduce three new collaborative products to its international infrastructure: European Distribution, Ocean-Air and LCL Ocean Express services.
Combining air and ground transportation to consolidate and dispatch cargo from a single point of distribution in Europe to every city on the continent, AIT’s European Distribution service dramatically decreases customer’s transportation costs.
“Consolidating cargo from one U.S. gateway extends customers the flexibility and cost-effective advantage of reduced brokerage and customs clearance expenses,” said Ray Fennelly, director of business development.
AIT’s Ocean-Air service combines three modes of transportation into one product, offering a cost-effective alternative for imports from Asia to the United States.
“Integrating ocean, air and surface transportation into one service offers customers a complete packaged product at a competitive price,” said Fennelly. “With a simple four-step process, AIT drives down costs, meets transit time requirements and increases supply chain efficiencies to provide a seamless transportation alternative.”
AIT’s LCL Ocean Express service accelerates transit time from the Pacific Rim to the Port of Long Beach/Los Angeles.
“With weekly fixed sailing schedules and consolidated containers from dedicated facilities in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, customers receive a reliable and cost-effective LTL ocean to ground service,” said Kevin Krause, director of ocean services for AIT Worldwide Logistics. “Guaranteed vessel space, acceptance of late cargo during peak season and priority discharge and handling at port of entry are all value-added benefits of our LCL Ocean Express service.”
All three international services simplify delivery to final destination by incorporating system integration, supply chain collaboration and all-inclusive shipment visibility throughout the global logistics pipeline.
